‘Feel of the Game’ TV Spot
Winn Grips, the innovator behind the most advanced golf grips on the market, needed a creative partner fluent in strategy, content, production, and post-production — with a genuine feel for golf. We fit the bill, and we've partnered with Winn across multiple broadcast campaigns for the Golf Channel.
Before shaping any concepts, we dug into the research. Golf advertising tends to run on repeat: performance, lower scores, more of the same. Our goal was to break that mold — bring humor, inspire honestly, and leave a lasting mark. Each campaign centers on a brand spot and a product spot. The work below represents our annual campaigns for Winn — 60- and 30-second broadcast spots, cutdowns, and a full set of assets for social.
Winn came to us to introduce their DriTac line and the new D2R rubber grip, and the campaign needed a feel all its own. We found it in a simple idea: there's the science of the game and the philosophy of the game, and then there's the feel of it. That's the part most golfers overlook, even though it's the only real connection between player and club.
Hands became the heart of the creative — different hands meeting different grips in a hyperreal, cinematic world. A voice-over carries feel from the mental to the physical while an X-ray treatment reveals the anatomy beneath: muscle and bone resolving into ten fingers, two palms, and the perfect grip. At those moments the connection sparks a colorful energy field, and each spot builds to a crescendo — beautiful, bold, and unmistakably a statement piece.
Winn Grips. For the feel of the game.
‘Grip It’ TV Spot
If Winn Grips are that good on a golf club — tacky, soft, surprising, effortless — why stop at the club? 'Grip It' takes that logic and runs it straight past the point of reason.
Trevor and Megan love the feel of Winn Grips so much they've put them on everything in the house — the lamp pull-chain, the espresso machine, the spatula, the dog leash, the lawnmower, the toothbrush, even the toilet. The whole morning plays out under the hushed, reverent voices of two golf broadcasters calling their Saturday like the back nine on Sunday. A flipped pancake becomes "a beauty flop shot." A tugging dog is "a tough dogleg right." The lawnmower? "This guy kicks grass." By the time they load their clubs into the car, even the announcers admit it's gotten a little weird.
It's the comedic streak that keeps the work from taking itself too seriously — proof the brand can land a laugh just as confidently as a hero shot.
‘Caddy’ TV Spot
For the Caddy campaign, we produced two spots — one focused on the Winn brand, and one built around the launch of the new DriTac 2.0 grip. Both set out to capture that magical "in the zone" moment every athlete chases — leaning into golf's social side and the quiet confidence that comes from the tactile feel of a Winn grip. The aim was to make the Winn brand feel larger than life while steering clear of the tired dream-sequence trope.
It all lived in the details: the look on the lead's face as he selects his club, macro shots that bring the feel of the grip to life, and a montage of the weightless, subconscious mind — action shots of the club making contact with the ball. At the end, the lead snaps back to realize he's been in a trance the whole time, and it's still his turn to swing. Getting that balance right is what took the spot from good to great.
Winn's grips sold out for the year, and we'd like to think our creative played its part.
