‘Co-Pilot’ TV Spot

Back in 2013, Yokohama's agency engaged us to create their new national TV brand campaign. The mission? To put the spotlight on the unsung car hero in a way that would be different and memorable.

With great scripts from the agency, we got to work in the design phase to see what a “tire build” might look like. After several iterations of style frames and animation tests, we got to work and built the spots in Cinema 4D and Flame. While we were at it we created extra content for the campaign, including animated frames that would serve as the backdrop of the new microsite. For the finishing touch, we teamed up with our buddies at Formosa Group on a custom score and mix.

We also created a variety of high-res stills of the hero tires for use across different channels. And, just to make things even more fun, we threw in a behind-the-scenes video as a special treat for our client.

Fast forward a few years, and we've reworked and repurposed the spots many times for various promotions. And you know what? Even after a decade in the wild, we feel this work still looks pretty damn good. It's a shining example of how we tackle projects—by doing top-notch work that stands the test of time.
